Market: Portsmouth win

Odds: 7/5 @ Bet 365

Tipped by many to win League One outright this year, Kenny Jacket’s Portsmouth side will face off against relegation candidates AFC Wimbledon on Saturday.

Starting with Neal Ardley’s AFC Wimbledon side, coming off the back of a lackluster showing in their 1-0 loss to Plymouth last weekend, it has been another worrying start for the hosts. Now losing five of their last six matches, including a 2-1 loss to Swansea’s U21’s in the EFL Trophy, the Dons now sit just a single point above slipping into the drop zone. More worrying for Ardley will be his sides form at Cherry Red Records Stadium. Wimbledon have managed to win just win at home this season and have now lost six of their last seven on home soil.

As for Kenny Jacket’s Portsmouth side, it has been a very bright season for the Blues and they will be confident of securing a return to the Championship. Picking up a 1-0 win against Crawley in midweek to book their spot in the next round of the Cup, the visitors have now lost just one match in their opening 12 matches. Jacket’s men already now hold a three-point advantage at the head of the table. One man to watch for the visitors will be 30-year-old Brett Pitman. The Pompey striker now has four in his last six since returning from injury.
