(GSM) – Portsmouth are planning to hold talks with Ligue 1 side Lens about Aruna Dindane’s contract situation.

As per contract terms Dindane, who has been linked with a summer move to Blackburn Rovers, played his last game for Portsmouth in Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Dindane, who joined Pompey on loan from Lens at the start of the season, currently finds himself in a sticky situation as one more appearance would trigger a £4million payment to his parent club.

Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikouis hoping a compromise can be reached with Lens to enable Dindane to play in the FA Cup final against Chelsea.

“Under his contract there was a bullet payment after his 22nd appearance, he has played 21 games and we are looking to have a meeting with Lens to negotiate,” Andronikou told Sky Sports News.

“I’m sure they will see it is in the interest of the club, themselves and the player for there to be a compromise.”
