Sporting Braga won their seventh league match in a row to keep their perfect record in the Portuguese competition. Vitoria Setubal failed to end Braga’s impressive streak.

No goals were scored in the first hour at Estadio AXA, but it was in the 60th minute that Paulo Cesar broke the deadlock in Braga’s favor.

Former Sporting Lisbon, Newcastle and Valencia midfielder Hugo Viana ended all doubts with his goal for 2-0 in the 90th minute.

Braga remain in first place and put additional pressure on Benfica, who will need a win over Paços de Ferreira on Monday in order to restore the original two-point gap.
