Sporting Lisbon re-applied pressure on Portuguese league leaders FC Porto, beating Estrela Amadora 2-1 in Saturday’s only game.
Helder Postiga put Sporting in the lead on 19 minutes but Marcelo Goianira equalised just before the half time whistle.
The hosts would secure three points though as Liedson netted the winning goal in the 55th minute.
The gap with FC Porto now stands at just one point, but Porto could restore their four-points margin versus Vitoria Setubal on Sunday.
