According to Lancashire Evening Post, Manchester United target Miguel Veloso claims he has received a contract offer from AC Milan that he will accept.
United have been trailing the Portugese midfielder for quite some time, and it has been reported that they made a formal offer earlier in the year for both Veloso and his Sporting team-mate Joao Moutinho that was rejected by the Portugese club Sporting Lisbon.
Veloso, 22, who is currently away at Euro 2008 with the Portugal squad, is confident that he will seal a move to AC Milan when he returns.
“Me to Milan? I’d say yes to them, it’s a dream (to play for them),” he said in Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
“You only have look at what they’ve won in Europe and internationally.
“I’d say there was a good chance (of a deal being struck), yes. They’ve contacted us, now we’ll wait.”
