Potential Real Madrid move stalls for Neymar

According to Sport.es, any potential move to Real Madrid for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar has stalled. Apparently, advisers have suggested that for all future moves, the Brazilian should be going to a club who are somewhat struggling in order to increase the value of his brand. Therefore, a switch to Real who have won three Champions League titles in a row wouldn’t make sense for him.

The report suggests that a few days after this year’s UCL final in Kiev, a representative of NR Sports called Nike and advised them to freeze the development of a potential clothing line which would be done in association with a potential move to the Bernabeu. Obviously, this move would stir up a great deal of controversy considering that Neymar is a former Barcelona player, but beyond that, it would likely see Neymar smash his own current record as the most expensive player in world football.
