It’s July, and that can only mean two things – painfully hot weather and the return of UEFA Conference League qualifying. The premier (well, third best) club competition across Europe is back and while we may be a long, long way off from finding out who will contest the final in Prague, we’re still intrigued to see how these qualifiers go – especially when it comes to Basel vs Crusaders in the second round.

This is the definition of an uphill challenge for Crusaders and their best bet is going to be trying to hold Basel to a draw which, the longer this game goes on, is going to become more and more unlikely. They’re going to have to make it physical from the word go if they want to have any hope of getting a result but eventually, we think they’ll be broken down, leading to a 2-0 win for Basel heading into the second leg.
