Torino and Napoli will face each other in Serie A this coming weekend. The match between I Granata and I Partenopei will be held at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and is scheduled to kick off at 2pm UK time on Sunday.

Torino

Torino are an established club in Serie A who tend to finish in mid-table. The Turin-based club do not aspire to play in the UEFA Champions League, and for them, staying in the top flight of Italian football and ending up in mid-table is good enough.

Ivan Jurić’s side are doing quite well at the moment and are likely to finish the season in the top 10 of the Serie A table this season. Torino are currently eighth in the standings with 37 points from 26 matches. They are only a point behind city rivals and Italian giants Juventus and 11 points behind fourth-placed and defending champions Serie A.

Torino will head into the match against Napoli at Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino this coming weekend on the back of a 2-0 victory over Lecce away from home in Serie A. It came after a 1-0 victory over Bologna in front of their own fans in the league.

Team News:

Torino are likely to line up in a 3-4-2-1 formation. Ivan Jurić’s team will have Milinković-Savić in goal. Sanabria will lead the line for Torino.

Napoli

Napoli have been arguably the best and most entertaining team in Serie A and in Europe so far this season. The former Italian champions are scoring goals for fun and are now pretty much certain to win Serie A. And they could also clinch in the UEFA Champions League this campaign.

Luciano Spalletti’s side are at the top of the Serie A table at the moment with 68 points from 26 matches. Napoli are as many as 18 points clear of second-placed and former Italian champions Inter Milan. I Partenopei won the first leg of their UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie against Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt 2-0 away from home in Germany.

Napoli got the better of Atalanta 2-0 at Stadio Diego Armando Maradona in Serie A this past weekend. It came after a 1-0 defeat to Lazio at home in the league and followed a 2-0 victory over Empoli on the road in Serie A.

Team News:

Alex Meret is back after recovering from an injury. Kim Min-jae has overcome a knock as well. Hirving Lozano has put his muscular injury behind him. Giacomo Raspadori is still on the sidelines, though, due to a thigh problem.

Key Factors to Consider

  • Torino have won 2 and lost 2 of their last 5 Serie A matches.
  • Torino have scored 29 goals and conceded 29 goals in 26 Serie A matches so far this season.
  • Napoli have lost just 2 Serie A matches all season.
  • Napoli have scored 60 goals and conceded 16 goals in 26 Serie A games so far this campaign.
  • Victor Osimhen has scored 19 goals and given four assists in 22 Serie A matches for Napoli so far this season.

Conclusion

Torino are having a good season and will fancy their chances of picking up at least a point against Napoli at home. However, the Naples outfit are on a roll now, and it is really hard to see anything but a win for Napoli.
