Premier League Accumulator: 8/1 Special & Betting Tips – February 1st

With the Champions League group stage drawing to a close in midweek, the attention will fall back on England’s elite on Saturday.

As runaway leaders Liverpool look to take another giant leap towards Premier League glory, we have six top-flight battles on the cards across Saturday afternoon.

With a pair of season-defining showdowns at the foot of the Premier League table, we have taken a glance at some of the most attractive betting markets.

Saturday, February 1st

BST 15:00 Ipswich Town vs Southampton

While Ipswich might have signed off 2024 with an iconic 2-0 victory against Chelsea, Kieran McKenna’s side have drastically failed to use that performance as a platform to build on.

Eventually falling to a 4-1 loss at the hands of runaway leaders Liverpool last weekend, the former Manchester United coach has seen his squad lose each of their previous three Premier League appearances by an aggregate score of 12-1.

Coming under a huge amount of scrutiny earlier in the month as they slumped to a 6-0 drumming against Manchester City, Ipswich open Saturday’s showdown sat in the relegation zone.

Facing what is a real must-win battle this weekend, McKenna’s attacking talisman will certainly have a leading role to play at Portman Road.

Continuing to attract a string of heavyweight European interest this month, Liam Delap has already notched eight Premier League goals so far this season and finds his stock at a red-hot high.

Suffering another collapse last weekend as they slumped to a 3-1 loss at home against Newcastle, Southampton already have one foot firmly back in the Championship.

Breaking a string of unwanted records this season and at the heart of a public crisis, Saturday’s guests have put just six points on the board from any of their 23 Premier League appearances.

Likewise, registering just a sole top-flight win, Ivan Juric’s side have also gained a real reputation for their glaring defensive issues.

Getting the New Year underway with a woful 5-0 drumming at home against Brentford, Southampton have already conceded 53 Premier League goals this season and hold the worst defensive tally among England’s elite.

Tip: Liam Delap to score anytime @ 6/4

15:00 Everton vs Leicester City

While David Moyes might have only made an emotional return to Goodison Park earlier in the month, Everton are certainly enjoying life under the former West Ham boss.

Despite officially getting Moyes’ second reign underway with a 1-0 loss against Aston Villa on January 15th, the Toffees have come roaring back in some style.

Putting in another gritty performance last weekend as they eventually snatched a 1-0 victory away at Brighton, Everton have secured consecutive Premier League wins and have dragged themselves away from the drop zone.

Getting Saturday’s showdown underway holding a seven-point buffer from slipping back into the relegation zone, Moyes’ men have also won three of their previous four appearances across all competitions.

With the mood around Goodison Park at a season-high, Everton will certainly be smelling the chance to secure three consecutive Premier League victories for the first time since April 2024.

Mounting a sensation second-half comeback away at Tottenham last weekend as they left north London with a shock 2-1 victory, Leicester must use that dramatic flurry as a platform to build on.

With that result certainly easing some of the mounting pressure on Ruud van Nistelrooy’s shoulders, Saturday’s guests have found a route out of the drop zone.

However, forced to settle for a 1-1 stalemate when they welcomed Everton to the King Power for their reverse Premier League meeting on September 21st, Leicester do hold a worrying record against the Toffees.

In fact, van Nistelrooy’s side have collected just a single win from any of their previous eight Premier League showdowns against the resurgent Toffees.

Tip: Iliman Ndiaye over 0.5 shots on target @ 4/6

15:00 Newcastle vs Fulham

While Newcastle might have slumped to an infamous 4-1 drumming at home against Bournemouth earlier in the month, Eddie Howe’s side certainly claimed an immediate response last weekend.

Mounting a comeback away at Southampton last time out as they secured a 3-1 victory at St. Mary’s, the Magpies find themselves at the heart of yet another famous Champions League charge.

Getting their EFL Cup semi-final adventure underway with a 2-0 win away at Arsenal on January 7th, Newcastle have won 10 of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions – a run that stems back to December 7th.

Opening this weekend’s fixtures with just their goal difference keeping them outside of the Champions League spots, the former Bournemouth boss will be calling on his squad to lay down a statement here.

With striking sensation Alexander Isak already notching 17 Premier League strikes so far this season, Howe’s men should be confident of extending on their recent flurry.

Although Fulham might have gained plenty of plaudits this season, Saturday’s guests are seeking some recent stability after watching their European dreams take a blow.

Suffering late frustration at home against Manchester United last weekend as they suffered a 1-0 loss, the former Everton boss has seen his squad win just a pair of their previous nine Premier League appearances.

Hit with an action-packed 3-2 defeat when they travelled to West Ham on January 14th, the Cottagers have recorded just a single domestic clean sheet from their last seven outings.

Despite claiming stellar 3-1 victory when they welcomed Newcastle to Craven Cottage for their reverse meeting on September 21st, Silva’s side should have a stern test on their hands here.

Tip: Alexander Isak over 1.5 shots on target @ 6/5
