A number of Premier League clubs are on stand-by as talks between Toni Kroos and Bayern Munich regarding a new contract have hit a stumbling block, according to the Mail Online.
The Bundesliga and European champions are reluctant to meet the midfielders wage demands, and escalated the rift by dropping him to the substitute’s bench for the first time as the club tightened their grip on first place in the German top flight with a 5-0 win over Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
Manchester United were linked with a move for the twenty-four year old last month, while Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City are all keeping an eye on the situation.
Despite his young age, Kroos is closing in on two-hundred first team appearances for Bayern having been promoted to the first team at just seventeen, while internationally he has forty-one full caps for Germany, and has scored five goals.
