Swansea City took an early lead at the Reebok Stadium only to see Bolton come back to earn a 1-1 draw in the Premier League on Saturday.

Within six minutes Swansea took the lead through Scott Sinclair who scored with a stunning curling strike just outside the area. Bolton replied eight minutes later as Chris Eagles slotted home a low cross from Martin Petrov.

While the visitors dominated in the first 10 minutes, Bolton took control after their equaliser and looked like adding another.

The second half saw Swansea come out to control most of the half as they could of took the lead with a few really good chances, before a late Bolton surge bore no goals which left Owen Coyle’s men in the relegation zone with five games to play.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle opted with Kevin Davies upfront as club top scorer Ivan Klasnic was on the bench with fellow striker David Ngog.

Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers named an unchanged side for the trip to the Reebok.

Sinclair picked up the ball on the edge of the area and the 23-year-old cut inside onto his stronger foot where he curled the ball into the top right corner of the goal to fire Swansea ahead.

However, the home side equalised with a well-crafted goal on 14 minutes. Petrov ran down the left wing towards the byline where his low cross was met by Eagles, who guided the ball into the bottom right corner, leaving Michel Vorm with no chance.

From then on, Coyle’s side dominated much of the first half. Petrov combined with Nigel Reo-Coker down the left for the Englishman to cross into the box, where Vorm nervously punched it away into the path of Eagles who fluffed his shot.

Petrov caused Swansea all sort of problems down the left as he again made a darting run and crossed the ball low into the box, were Eagles was waiting only to see the cross cleared by Ashley Williams.

Swansea winger Nathan Dyer was forced off early with an injury and was replaced by Luke Moore.

Williams fouled Kevin Davies on the edge of the area picking up a yellow card for his troubles. Petrov struck a curling free-kick that forced Vorm to the bottom left corner of his goal to make a strong save.

Swansea started the second half strongly, coming at Bolton and forcing a corner which the Trotters could only scramble to safety.

Danny Graham had a great chance to make it two for the Welsh outfit, as Sigurdsson slotted a ball through to Graham who failed to capitalize on as Bogdan saved.

With Coyle needing three points, Ryo Miyaichi made way for striker Ngog as the home side looked to grab all three points.

Despite the change Swansea again looked more dangerous, putting more pressure on Bolton’s defence as Leon Britton slotted a ball through to Graham who crossed the ball towards Sinclair at the far post which was blocked by Gretar Steinsson.

On 74 minutes, Graham hit the bar with a stunning strike as Swansea continued to look dangerous going forward.

Bolton flooded forward with 10 minutes left as they looked to for a second goal but failed to take their chances.

Eagles’ shot was inches away from securing a winner for the home side but his strike narrowly went wide.

As Bolton looked for a winner, Swansea withstood the pressure as the points were shared.
