Mark Davies’ last-minute equaliser saw Bolton come from two goals down to share the spoils with Blackpool in a thrilling draw at the Reebok.
Goals from Ian Evatt and Luke Varney had put Blackpool in front, but Martin Petrov pulled one back with 15 minutes left and Davies struck late on to secure a point for the hosts.
Bolton dominated possession in the opening period but found no reward for their toil.
The home side looked on target to extend their five-match unbeaten run when Kevin Davies forged through in the tenth minute only for Blackpool goalkeeper Richard Kingston to parry his shot away.
Just minutes later, the hosts again went close as Matt Taylor skilfully brought the ball down with his chest and shot from the edge of the penalty area, his attempt flashing over Kingston’s bar.
In contrast, Blackpool posed less of a direct threat in the opening exchanges.
That all changed, however, on the half-hour mark as Elliot Grandin’s cross was clipped over Jussi Jaaskelainen and into the far corner of the net.
Bolton looked to fight their way back into the game in the second half with captain Davies going close, but instead it was Blackpool who went further in front.
With 58 minutes gone, Grandin’s corner was headed home by Varney in similar style to Blackpool’s opener.
But Petrov gave Bolton hope with 15 minutes left as he took the ball from the influential Davies, swivelled and booted into the top corner.
The hosts piled on the pressure, but it did not look as if it would be their day as Kingston continued to make several important blocks.
However, the home fans eventually did go home happy after Mark Davies slotted home from close range in the last minute following a wonderful sweeping move.
