Bolton Wanderers warmed up for their FA Cup semi-final at Wembley with a comprehensive 3-0 victory over hapless West Ham on Saturday.

A goal from Chung Yong-Lee sandwiched a double from Daniel Sturridge in a comfortable win that cements Bolton’s place in the top half of the English Premier League and gives them a huge lift ahead of their clash with Stoke in the FA Cup at Wembley next Saturday.

The Hammers picked up where they left off from their capitulation at home to Manchester United last Saturday, as their hopes of Premier League survival took another hit.

Owen Coyle?s team dominated the first half and could have punished their opponents by more than the two goals they plundered.

Bolton deservedly opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a superb strike from January loan signing Sturridge.

The England under-21 striker collected Johan Elmander’s flick-on at the left corner of the box and curled a delightful shot into the top corner for his fifth goal in seven appearances since his arrival from Chelsea.

Bolton skipper Kevin Davies missed a golden opportunity from close range in the 22nd minute, but seconds later Lee did get a second.

Elmander’s deep cross fell to Martin Petrov, who crossed perfectly for the South Korean to score with a near-post header.

West Ham barely challenged Bolton before the break bar one effort from Thomas Hitzlsperger, who forced a save from Jussi Jaaskelainen at 20 yards.

Bolton also went close through Sturridge and Petrov as they searched for a third before the break.

It finally came six minutes into the second half when Sturridge ran unchallenged towards goal and fired a left-foot strike past Robert Green.

West Ham almost sparked themselves into life in the 68th minute with a superb effort from Demba Ba, who cracked the woodwork with a blistering strike.

From the rebound, Bolton sprang a counter attack and the ball was worked to Sturridge. He broke free down the left in search of his hat-trick, but his strike was just off target.

Bolton again went close to a fourth in the 85th minute, when Ivan Klasnic missed from close range, moments after replacing the superb Davies.
