Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea are all interested in signing Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna this summer, according to the Express.
Bologna are apparently ready to hear offers for the services of the 22-year-old defender, whose fine exploits for Italy at Euro 2024 have come to an end after a disappointing team performance against Switzerland in the round of 16. Arsenal have already made contact to ask about his availability, but they face strong competition from Liverpool and Chelsea. Juventus are interested as well, but Bologna would prefer to sell elsewhere after the Bianconeri took coach Thiago Motta from their dugout.
Calafiori is a product of the academy at AS Roma, and he spent six months on loan at Genoa before joining Basel on a permanent deal in the summer of 2022. Last year, he returned to Italy to wear the shirt of Bologna and made 33 appearances for the club in all competitions. Preferring to play as a central defender, Calafiori has played on the left defensive flank as well.
