Premier League duo in for Berahino

Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are set to battle for the services of West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino, according to the Metro.

The 21 year old, who yesterday received his first senior England call up has been in fine form this season with eight goals in thirteen appearances in all competitions.

Prior to making his Baggies debut last season, he had loan spells with Northampton Town, Brentford and Peterborough United while he also has ten goals in ten appearances for England’s U21s.

His first league goal for West Brom was a famous winner at Old Trafford last September, and he could now be set for a switch to the Theatre of Dreams, though Tottenham Hotspur have also thrown their hat in to the ring.

A fee of around £25m is likely to be enough to convince the Midlands side to part company with their star man, who currently commands wages of just £20,000.
