MK Dons have revealed that a number of England’s top sides are showing interest in youngster Dele Alli.
The 17-year-old has already made 15 league appearances for the Dons and is predicted a bright future in the game.
His impressive displays in League One did not go unnoticed, with a number of Premier League sides reportedly keen.
And while Arsenal and Newcastle are also casting admiring glances, MK Dons manager Karl Robinson has revealed that Liverpool have the upper hand.
“I know Brendan (Rodgers) quite well and we speak about different players all the time,” Robinson was quoted as saying in the Daily Express.
“Dele’s special. You don’t see many 17-year-olds playing in the FA Cup third round against a very good Wigan side and not looking out of place.
“There are one or two players I would like from Liverpool on loan and he knows that as well.”
After making just two league appearances last term, Ali seems to be on the verge of nailing down a regular starting berth, having featured in 13 league fixtures, starting 6 of those games.
Meanwhile, he started two Capital One Cup matches and was also in the starting line-up as his side held Wigan Athletic to a 3-3 draw at DW Stadium.
