The Uruguay youth international Sebastian Caceres has been on the radar of several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Liverpool who are thought to be vying for his signature.
The two Premier League giants have been keeping close tabs on the talented Uruguay Under-18 captain and are prepared to go head-to-head to land him once the transfer window reopens in January.
The top-rated defender has also been monitored by Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, whereas it is Chelsea and Liverpool who have stepped up their efforts to land the high-quality youngster.
The Sun is reporting that both Chelsea and Liverpool have sent emissaries to Uruguay on a number of occasions.
Sebastian Caceres plays for Montevideo and has thus far enjoyed a successful start to his first-team career.
Both Blues and the Reds failed in their attempts to land Virgin van Dijk during the summer transfer window and have once again laid their eyes on the same target.
