(GSM) – Liverpool striker Fernando Torres believes the Premier League is better than La Liga as a competition, despite having the better players in Spain.
There are so many top class players like Messi, Xabi Alonso and Cristiano Ronaldo playing in the La Liga and Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas is being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona this summer.
But Torres favours the English Premier League, he said: “As a competition, the Premier League is the best.
“When you are talking about organisation, respect and having all the stadiums full every weekend, it is really nice to see that.
“In Spain they have some of the better players in the world but, as a competition, it is not as big as the Premier League.
“I’ve played in Spain and can tell you honestly, the Premier League is much better.”
The 26-year-old forward moved to the Reds from Atletico Madrid in 2007 for a fee of around £20 million, he has scored 56 goals in 79 appearances for Liverpool.
