Competition: Premier League
Market: Man City to win against Tottenham
Odds: 10/11 @ Betfair

An inconsistent Tottenham Hotspur side host Premier League leaders Manchester City at White Hart Lane this weekend, with Spurs holding out slim hope of ending a woeful losing record against the Sky Blues.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are in good form ahead of the clash, and could finish the weekend in a Champions League spot if they win, but City are also looking to respond following their recent league defeat.

Tottenham are enjoying a five-game unbeaten run in the English top-flight this season, winning back-to-back against the likes of Sunderland and Crystal Palace. The problem with the Londoners in recent weeks has been the unconvincing manner of their performances.

While winning consecutive games in the league, they have struggled with a lack of goals, and performances have left a lot to
Last season’s runners-up suffered their first league defeat with a 2-1 home defeat to West Ham United the previous weekend, so they are desperate to get back to winning ways to keep their lead at the summit.

City are only two points clear of the chasing pack, so dropped points could well see them relinquish first place if they lost to Tottenham. They’re coming off the back of a 4-1 Capital One Cup win away to Sunderland so confidence is high.

Man City’s head-to-head record against the Londoners suggests an away win on Saturday afternoon too, with the Sky Blues having won eight of their last nine league meetings versus Spurs, three of which came in four White Hart Lane clashes.
