Arsenal and Swansea will be looking for their first wins of the English Premier League season when they clash at Emirates Stadium on Saturday.
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has endured a horror start to his 16th season in charge of the Gunners, with the departures of star duo Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona) and Samir Nasri (Manchester City) compounded by poor form on the pitch.
Arsenal encountered a ruthless Manchester United last time out and were crushed 8-2 at Old Trafford – the club’s worst defeat under Wenger.
Brendan Rodgers’ Swansea, yet to score in their maiden Premier League campaign, are also desperate for points.
After a 4-0 defeat first-up at the hands of Manchester City, Rodgers’ side has steadied in recent weeks with goalless draws against Wigan and Sunderland.
Swansea’s cause was aggravated the freak injury suffered by defender Alan Tate, who crashed in a golf buggy and broke his leg, ruling him out for the majority of the season.
Arsenal also have injury concerns, with defender Thomas Vermaelen to miss around a month with an Achilles complaint.
Jack Wilshere remains unavailable with an ankle injury, while Carl Jenkinson and Gervinho miss out through suspension.
In better news for Wenger, new signings Mikel Arteta, Per Mertesacker, Andre Santos and Yossi Benayoun are available to make their debuts for the club.
