After losing 2-0 at Stoke City, Fulham take on Everton at home on Sunday as Martin Jol tries to steer the Cottagers away from the relegation zone.
Level on seven points with Everton, Fulham are one point removed from the relegation pack after conceding late goals at Stoke.
Fulham are not the best of travellers and this season.
They’ve only earned one point playing away with their solitary thumping 6-0 win over QPR and three draws all at Craven Cottage.
Jol’s sides have never been known for their tight defence but, with the Cottagers playing at home, he will be hoping that Bobby Zamora and Andrew Johnson can continue their hot home form against Phil Jagielka and Sylvain Distin.
The Toffees were exposed in their 3-1 loss at Stamford Bridge but few sides have truly worried Chelsea and David Moyes will be counting on Tim Howard, Jagielka and Distin to recover and keep a clean sheet.
Greek striker Apostolos Vellios got one back for Everton against Chelsea coming on as a substiutute for Louis Saha.
With Saha’s form shaky at best this season, Moyes might start Vellios against Fulham.
Tim Cahill still looks a bit out of sorts and was replaced by Phil Neville against Chelsea.
The former Manchester United man steadied the ship and should captain the side against Fulham. This one looks to be a tight contest with the odd goal separating the more fortunate side on the day.
