Premier League Preview: Saturday, 1 September

The 2012/13 English Premier League continues on Saturday, 1 September, with six fixtures on the matchday schedule. Let’s kick-off this segment with the best betting odds for Saturday’s league matches.

Premier League Betting Odds | Saturday, 1 September

West Ham United (6/4) v Fulham (15/8); Draw (12/5)

Swansea City (6/5) v Sunderland (5/2); Draw (12/5)

Tottenham Hotspur (2/5) v Norwich City (15/2); Draw (4/1)

West Bromwich Albion (2/1) v Everton (6/4); Draw (12/5)

Wigan Athletic (5/4) v Stoke City (23/10); Draw (9/4)

Manchester City (1/5) v Queens Park Rangers (14/1); Draw (6/1)

Premier League Preview: West Ham United v Fulham

Fulham will travel to Upton Park to take on Premier League new boys West Ham United on Saturday.

The Cottagers struggles against the Hammers are well documented, with Fulham owning 1-5-9 record against West Ham in their last 15 meetings.

Look for more of the same at Upton Park on Saturday, with Carlton Cole, who has netted six times in his last six games against Fulham, finding the back of the net for the home side.

Premier League Preview: Swansea City v Sunderland

High flying Swansea City, led by Michael Laudrup, will host Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium in Wales on Saturday, 1 September.

Swansea could go top of the Premier League table with a win against the Black Cats, who have won only one of their last eight league fixtures against the Swans.

Sunderland’s lack of ambition away from the Stadium of Light might lead to yet another clean-sheet for Dutch goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

Expect Swansea to dominate the proceedings, with Michu heavily featured in the Swans attack.

Premier League Preview: Tottenham Hotspur v Norwich City

Andre Villas-Boas will look to tally his first win as Spurs boss against Norwich City on Saturday.

Believe it or not, Norwich are the last club to win away at White Hart Lane. The Canaries defeated Spurs 2-1 back in April 2012.

Can AVB win his fourth game in 15 Premier League matches? I surely hope so.

Premier League Preview: West Bromwich Albion v Everton

David Moyes’ Everton will clash with West Bromwich Albion side at The Hawthorns at the weekend.

Everton, who opened their 2012-13 Premier League account with a win over Manchester United, have been ‘kings of the draw’ away from Goodison Park, drawing seven of their last 10 away league fixtures.

Expect both sides to escape this battle unbeaten.

Premier League Preview: Wigan Athletic v Stoke City

Wigan Athletic are scheduled to host Stoke City at the DW Stadium on Saturday.

The Latics are unbeaten in their last six games against Stoke, while Stoke have gone 10 games without an away win in the Premier League.

It’s all set up for Roberto Martinez’s side, but can they get all three points? I think so. 2-0 Wigan.

Premier League Preview: Manchester City v Queens Park Rangers

Premier League champions Manchester City play host to Queens Park Rangers in a rematch of last year’s thrilling, title-deciding final game of the season on Saturday, 1 September.

However, Joey Barton and Sergio Aguero will not feature in Saturday’s clash, with Barton serving a 12-match and Aguero out due to injury.

This meeting should prove no contest for City. Can the champions prove to be double-trouble and hit 10 past QPR, who conceded five against Swansea on the first day of the season? Surely not 10, but I’ll certainly take the over on 3.5 total goals, for City that is.
