Swansea City will be looking for only their second away league win of the season when they meet West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
Brendan Rodgers’ men were denied a home win over Chelsea in the English Premier League on Tuesday, when Neil Taylor netted an own goal in the 93rd minute to give the visitors a point.
But buoyant Swansea, in 14th place with 27 points, will be looking for a win against Roy Hodgson’s men, who are one place below them but have only won twice at home this season.
Rodgers, whose team has been praised for playing an attractive and attacking brand of football, believes his side can improve their bleak away record with a win at The Hawthorns.
“We are going to play at a wonderful stadium with a fantastic pitch,” Rodgers said.
“We will be able to roll the ball and pass the ball. We can play our game and let the opponents worry about us.”
Winger Scott Sinclair is also full of confidence, claiming the Welsh club can claim a top-ten finish.
“The main target is to stay in the Premier League, but we should be able to keep pushing on and look further than that,” said Sinclair, who scored his seventh goal of the season against Chelsea.
“Hopefully we can get into that top 10, but it’s going to be difficult – we have to keep working hard and keep picking up results.”
“We’ve settled in. It’s taken us a few games to find our level, but now I think we can keep on going, and not only stay in the league but reach for that 10th spot.”
Meanwhile, West Brom head into the encounter after securing a 1-1 draw at Fulham on Wednesday.
Hodgson will be hoping to regain his side’s top-scorer Shane Long after the Irishman suffered a stomach illness.
The likes of Chris Brunt and Zoltan Gera are also likely to miss, robbing Hodgson creativity and attacking threat.
West Brom’s poor home record means this shapes as a great chance for Swansea to improve on their dismal showings on the road.
