An unbeaten Wolverhampton welcome Tottenham to the Molineux on Saturday, looking to make it four matches without a loss.
Wolves have two wins and a draw to show from their first three Premier League encounters this term, while Tottenham prop up the table in last place having thus far failed to earn a point.
Following heavy losses to both Manchester sides, Harry Redknapp’s Spurs side will have a point to prove against Wolves, who were tipped for relegation at the start of the season.
Spurs, however, have a number of injury concerns in their squad, with Aaron Lennon, Ledley King, William Gallas, Rafael van der Vaart and Steven Pienaar all unavailable for selection.
For Wolves, striker Sylvain Ebanks-Blake will miss with a foot complaint, while midfielder David Edwards and defender Steven Mouyokolo are also unavailable.
In better news for manager Mick McCarthy, Algerian midfielder Adlene Guedioura is ready to return from an ankle injury that plagued his close-season.
“No one likes to miss games but I’ve only missed three in the league and that’s not a lot of games when you think about the whole season,” Guedioura said.
“It’s still the beginning of the season and I’m happy the surgery has been done because it is important to be completely fit when you are playing in the Premier League.”
“Now I am motivated and have the desire to try and make an impact.”
Wolves and Spurs played out an entertaining 3-3 draw in the Midlands last term, with Jermain Defoe striking twice for the visitors and Kevin Doyle firing a brace for the hosts.
