Borussia Dortmund defensive star Sokratis Papastathopoulos has emerged as a transfer summer target for a number of Premier League clubs.
The likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are all looking to bolster their defensive options for next season and are reportedly monitoring the Bundesliga star, who is open to leaving Dortmund in order to fight for honours elsewhere.
And even though Arsenal have already boosted their squad with Sead Kolasinac, and Manchester United are closing on a deal with Benfica over Victor Lindelof move, interest in Sokratis still stands according to reports from Germany.
German media outlet Bild reports that Chelsea and Manchester United both had their representatives following the 29-year-old defender in the DFB Pokal final against Eintracht Frankfurt earlier this season to get a closer look on the Greek defender.
Sokratis has had a successful season with Dortmund, making the total of 54 competitive appearances and scoring three goals in the process.
Greek international defender is under contract with Dortmund until 2019.
