Portuguese daily newspaper O Jogo understands that a number of Premiership clubs are showing interest in Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani.
After showing a great deal of potential during his debut season at Estadio Jose Alavalade, the 26-year-old starred for Algeria at the 2014 World Cup, catching the eye of quite a few quality sides in the process.
And while West Ham remain keen on the highly rated forward, the likes of Stoke City, Newcastle United and Leicester City seem to have joined the race as well.
With Bayer Leverkusen, Schalke, Marseille and Villarreal also in the mix, chances are Slimani will be the subject of a real bidding war this summer.
The powerful striker, who joined the Lions from Belouzidad last summer, went on to score 8 goals in 26 league appearances, before netting 2 times in 4 matches for Algeria at the 2014 World Cup as Les Fennecs made it to the Last 16 stage.
