Portuguese daily newspaper Record has suggested that a number of Premier League clubs are keeping close tabs on Sporting CP defender Ruben Semedo.
The 23-year-old, who can also operate in midfield, has been in fine form this season, featuring in 23 Primeira Liga fixtures.
His excellent performances did not go unnoticed as clubs from England have been casting admiring glances his way, and the centre-back is seriously thinking about leaving the Lions for greener pastures.
Everton, Southampton and Stoke City have all been showing interest in the talented footballer, and it remains to be seen whether they will come forward with concrete offers.
Ruben Semedo is another exciting prospect to have come out of club’s famed youth academy, and he enjoyed loan spells with Reus Deportiu and Vitoria Setubal before returning to Estadio Jose Alvalade. He has so far made 37 league outings for the Lions.
