The Championship is known for hidden gems that later on go to wreak havoc in the Premier League. Some manage to do it on a bigger scale, like Jamie Vardy, and some are still getting to their best football, as Tammy Abraham and James Maddison are proving right now. And now another player might get his chance in the top flight.
According to Sky Sports, Crystal Palace and Sheffield United are both taking a closer look at Ollie Watkins. Brentford striker has been doing magnificently well in Championship this season, scoring 13 goals since the new campaign started and the Eagles and the Blades are keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.
The same report suggests that Brentford have now improved their valuation of the striker at 25 million pounds, which is now the price teams will have to send in if they want to have chance of signing Watkins. Palace are desperate for a good starting striker, whilst Sheffield United want to make the best of their great start to the season.
