The Premier League has confirmed that the summer transfer window will open at 00.01am on Thursday May 16th, and will close at 5pm on Thursday August 8th prior to the start of the new season. For those of you who don’t have a calendar free, that means we will indeed be seeing players come and go from Premier League clubs from tonight onwards.
The English top flight has enjoyed arguably its most remarkable season ever, which is saying something when you consider how many great seasons have been and gone in the past. It seems as if the league is gaining more and more popularity as the years go on, and with that in mind, it certainly feels like we could see some huge names coming to the EPL this summer.
Plus, there won’t be the distraction of the World Cup to deal with this time around like there was last year.
