Three Premier League clubs are set to battle to secure the services of Rennes midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, TalkSport understands.
Everton, Manchester United and Chelsea all assigned scouts to watch over the 19 year old as Philippe Montanier’s side beat Saint-Etienne on Wednesday evening to end a four game winless run and move up to eleventh place in Ligue 1.
The defensive midfielder, who only made his first team debut against Evian in August, has made eleven league appearances so far this season, and scored his first senior goal in a 5-0 win in Toulouse back in October.
Internationally, he has won five caps for France U17’s, and a move to one of the Premier League’s bigger clubs would do his chances of receiving a senior call up no harm whatsoever.
Rennes travel to Lorient tomorrow evening and Bakayoko is priced at 22/1 to get the first goal of the game.
