A host of Premier League clubs are considering a move for Watford’s Troy Deeney, according to TalkSport.
Newly promoted trio Burnley, Leicester City and Queens Park Rangers have been linked with the striker, who finished third behind Ross McCormack and Jordan Rhodes in the list of Championship top scorers last season with twenty-four goals.
Watford are holding out for a similar fee to the £11m that Fulham paid to secure the services of McCormack earlier in the summer.
In four seasons with the Hornets, the 26 year old has scored sixty-one goals in one hundred and seventy-one appearances in all competitions.
The former Walsall man would relish the chance to ply his trade in the top flight, having spent the majority of his youth career with Aston Villa before he was released at 15.
Watford begin the season at home to Bolton Wanderers, where they can be backed at 11/10 for the win.
