The Mirror understands Liverpool midfielder Joe Allen has emerged as a January target for a number of Premier League clubs.
Stoke City, Sunderland and Leicester City are all eyeing a move for the Wales international who has made just three league appearances so far this season – all of which have come a substitute.
Former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers took Allen from Swansea City soon after he made the same switch though he started less than half of the Reds’ league games in each of their last two campaigns.
Prior to his move to Anfield, the twenty-five year old played one hundred and fifty times for Swansea while he has also had a brief loan spell with Wrexham.
He has twenty-two caps for his country while he was also part of Great Britain’s squad for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Liverpool face Bournemouth in the fourth round of the League Cup on Wednesday and are priced at 1/2 to win the match inside ninety minutes.
