The Evening Star reports that Ipswich Town youngster Danny Haynes has reportedly caught the eye of many Premiership clubs, including Portsmouth, Everton and West Ham.
However it appears Portsmouth are in the lead for the chase of the star, and the youngster could be on his way to Fratton Park for over £2 million.
Harry Redknapp was said to be impressed after watching Haynes in the FA Cup Third Round tie which saw Portsmouth beat Ipswich on the run which led them to becoming winners of the competition.
Portsmouth as well as West Ham, were keen to sign Haynes in January, however Ipswich kept hold of the player in a bid to gain promotion.
Haynes, 20, can play either on the wing or up front, and is renowned for his pace at Ipswich. The player may be on his way to Portsmouth after playing a Portsmouth XI game recently, and scored the first goal for Kanu’s charity team.
