Premiership move beckons for Vucinic
Turin-based daily Tuttosport is reporting that Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic is likely to have moved to English Premier League by the end of the month.
The Montenegrin looks set to quit Turin despite his move to Inter Milan falling through as the Nerazzurri called off the swap that was also supposed to include Fredy Guarin.
With club officials making a decision to offload Vucinic this January, it appears English Premier League will be his next destination.
The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea are all believed to be keen, and Juventus’ €10 million asking price is unlikely to be a problem.
Mirko Vucinic developed into a key player in Turin quickly after arriving from AS Roma, scoring a total of 19 goals in his first two seasons at the club.
However, he has seen his first team chances severely limited this season and he is almost certain to quit the Bianconeri this month.
Fiorentina eyeing Portuguese starlet
Serie A high-flyers Fiorentina are keeping close tabs on Nacional da Madeira defender Miguel Rodrigues, according to A Bola.
With Facundo Roncaglia reportedly pondering a summer exit, Viola seem to be looking for potential replacements for the Argentine.
A Bola has suggested that Nacional stopper Miguel Rodrigues is one of the first names on their hit-list at the moment.
The same source has revealed that Fiorentina had the youngster watched in the weekend’s game between Nacional and Estoril, which is enough to suggest they might be considering a summer bid for his services.
Miguel Rodrigues, 20, has been performing at a very high level since joining Nacional from Uniao de Leiria and he went on to start 16 league fixtures this season.
His suitors Fiorentina recently closed the gap behind third-placed Napoli and they can be backed at 9/4 for a top 3 finish in Serie A.
Ajax youngster nears Rennes switch
Rennes are on the verge of completing a deal for Ajax forward Boban Lazic, French newspaper L’Equipe has revealed.
Les Bertons have just signed Swedish footballer Ola Toivonen from PSV Eindhoven, but they could ink another player from Dutch Eredivisie.
According to L’Equipe, Rennes are seriously thinking about making an offer for Ajax attacker Boban Lazic.
The 19-year-old, who is still playing for the youth team, is currently undergoing a trial at Stade de la Route de Lorient, but has reportedly impressed les Bretons boss Philippe Montanier and could be offered a contract in the next few days.
Rennes would obviously need to find an agreement with the player’s current employers first.
Boban Lazic has represented Netherlands at Under-15 and Under-17 level, but has suggested he is ready to switch his allegiance to Bosnia-Hercegovina.
