Vicente Boluda was promoted to the top job to steer the club until at least the end of the season after the resignation of Ramón Calderón as Real Madrid president. The 3-1 win over Osasuna last night was not a big match for Madrid, but it represents a good result for a new deal.

“Part of the team’s success can be attributed to the marvellous fans, who have helped us a lot. I think winning will become a habit for the rest of the season,” he told the club’s official website.
