The English Premier League continues on Saturday, April 7, with seven fixtures on the matchday schedule.
Today, I will be previewing the first set of fixtures, including: Sunderland v Tottenham Hotspur, Bolton Wanderers v Fulham and Chelsea v Wigan Athletic.
Subsequently, tomorrow will feature the remaining four matches: Liverpool v Aston Villa, Norwich City v Everton, West Bromwich Albion v Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City v Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Now then, let’s get started with the betting odds for the first set of fixtures.
Betting Odds
Sunderland (23/10) v Tottenham Hotspur (13/10); Draw (5/2)
Bolton Wanderers (17/10) v Fulham (9/5); Draw (12/5)
Chelsea (3/10) v Wigan Athletic (12/1); Draw (5/1)
Bet of the Day
Saturday’s value bet of the day is Wigan Athletic to earn a draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. As mentioned above, the bet pays 5/1.
Preview: Sunderland v Tottenham Hotspur
Harry Redknapp and Spurs travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland on Saturday, with kick-off scheduled for 12:45 GMT.
Spurs have won just one of their last Premier League games, but that win did come in their last match, a 3-1 win over league newcomers Swansea City.
In retrospect, Sunderland have won two of their five league fixtures (Liverpool, Queens Park Rangers), while also managing draws against Newcastle United and Manchester City.
All things considered, Sunderland are on better form at the moment, but the visitors are still the favorites to take all three points at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.
Prediction
The visitors boss the game, 2-0 Spurs.
Preview: Bolton Wanderers v Fulham
Fulham travel to the Reebok Stadium to battle a spirited Bolton Wanderers side who have dug their way out of the relegation zone with their recent purple patch.
Bolton have won three-straight league games, while Fulham have won two of their last five league fixtures.
The reverse fixture saw Fulham take all three points at Craven Cottage on December 17.
Is revenge on the cards for Bolton on Saturday? We shall see.
Prediction
Bolton win their fourth straight Premier League game, 1-0 Wanderers.
Preview: Chelsea v Wigan Athletic
Roberto Martinez leads 19th-place Wigan Athletic to west London to take on giants Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday at 15:00 GMT.
At the moment, Chelsea are five points adrift of fourth place, the last UEFA Champions League qualifying place, and need three points in every fixture in order to leapfrog Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur.
On the other side of the touchline, Wigan need points if they wish to remain in England’s top-tier.
These clubs have everything to play for at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Prediction
Nothing to separate the two sides, 1-1 draw.
