Preview: Bolton Wanderers v Swansea City
Premier League newcomers Swansea City travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Bolton Wanderers, who are in the relegation zone at the moment.
The Swans have suffered a dip in form of late, but will surely look to build on their 3-0 win over Blackburn Rovers on April 14.
Prior to their home win over Rovers, Swansea had lost four consecutive league matches.
Meanwhile, Bolton have followed up their three-match winning streak in the league with two consecutive defeats.
Something’s got to give at the Reebok on Saturday.
Prediction: Bolton Wanderers v Swansea City
Don’t expect handful of goals in this one, 1-0 Swansea. Odds: 1-0 Swansea pays out 12.00.
Preview: Fulham v Wigan Athletic
Roberto Martinez’s Wigan Athletic travel to Craven Cottage to battle Martin Jol and Fulham on Saturday, April 21.
Wigan’s cracking form has seen them record improbable victories over Manchester United and Arsenal in recent weeks, elevating Martinez’s out of the relegation zone and into 16th place in the league table.
“They still need three or four points so they will fight for their lives,” said Jol. “Bolton were in the same situation and we did well so hopefully we can keep the initiative. We have to be patient.
“Wigan did well at the right time of the season. They could get out of trouble now. They like to play but when they did that they didn’t have the points.
“They have changed their style. They defend in numbers and they have got three players up front who do all the damage.”
Can Wigan keep their incredible run going at Craven Cottage on Saturday?
Prediction: Fulham v Wigan Athletic
Nothing to separate the two sides, 1-1 draw.
Preview: Newcastle United v Stoke City
Alan Pardew and the Magpies will look to keep their 2012-13 UEFA Champions League hopes alive when the play host to Stoke City at the Sports Direct Arena on Saturday.
The Toon are unbeaten in their last five Premier League fixtures, while also maintaining an impressive unbeaten run at the Sports Direct Arena.
Meanwhile, Stoke have not won away from home in their last five road matches in the Premier League.
In other words, advantage Newcastle.
Prediction: Newcastle United v Stoke City
The Magpies cruise to victory, 2-0 Newcastle. Odds: 2-0 Newcastle United pays out 8.00.
Preview: Queens Park Rangers v Tottenham Hotspur
Both QPR and Spurs have fallen on difficult times in recent weeks.
At the moment, QPR are one place above the relegation zone, while Tottenham’s poor form has seen them fall out of the title-race and into a fierce battle to qualify for the Champions League next season.
With that said, Mark Hughes’ side have won three consecutive home matches in the Premier League.
In contrast, Spurs have not recorded an away win in the league in 2012. In fact, Tottenham’s only away win in 2012 came against Watford in the FA Cup (Round 4) on January 27. Not good.
Prediction: Queens Park Rangers v Tottenham Hotspur
Spurs’ road woes continue, 1-1 draw.
