According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Mario Balotelli is set to be available for purchase once more – with some suggesting that he coudld wind up being as cheap as €1.5 million. Astonishingly enough Nice only set a price of €3 million for the 28 year old forward, who was once considered to be one of the most intriguing young players in all of Europe. This showcases just how far he’s fallen, though, with Nice wanting to get his wages off the books.
Marseille are believed to be very interested but there’s always a chance that he could return to Serie A, which is said to be one of his preferred options. Balotelli really came into the limelight during his time in English football with Manchester City and Liverpool, and while his tenures at both clubs didn’t end brilliantly, he certainly made some headlines during his stay.
Nice are currently 10th in the Ligue 1 table.
