Watford’s Sebastian Prodl is apparently set to leave the club this season. The defender spoke to German magazine Kicker, and complained that his career is being “splattered” by manager Javi Gracia.
Prodl started his career with Sturm Graz in 2006 and moved to Werder Bremen after only two years. He left the Bundesliga side to join Watford in 2015. He was a regular part of the starting XI at the Vicarage Road for three seasons, but this term he took to the pitch only twice; once in the Premier League and once in the Carabao Cup. Craig Cathcart, Christian Kabasele and Adrian Mariappa are all ahead of him in the pecking order under Gracia. Prodl rarely makes the bench these days.
Therefore, it’s his belief that should the manager stay in place past this summer, and he admits that there are strong indications that that will be the case, his chances of playing regularly wouldn’t improve, and he may look for another club.
