Desperate to reclaim their Ligue 1 crown at the third attempt, Thomas Tuchel’s side will travel to the Stade de la Beaujoire on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Nantes may have shocked many and picked up a 2-1 win over Lyon last weekend, Vahid Halilhodžić will be desperate for his side to build off that result. With any chance of a top half finish appearing to be off the cards this year, their victory last weekend was just their first win since the start of March. Also suffering a 3-0 hammering when they last faced off against PSG in the Coupe de France earlier in the month, Nantes have famously struggled against Ligue 1’s defending champions. Losing both encounters against Les Parisiens this season, Halilhodžić’s men have also now lost their last 17 consecutive matches against PSG.

As for the visitors, playing the majority of their trip to Lille with 10 men and suffering a shocking 5-1 defeat, PSG boss Thomas Tuchel will be demanding his side make an immediate response. Knowing that a victory on Wednesday will see them lift their eighth Ligue 1 title, one man to watch in midweek will unsurprisingly be leading goalscorer Kylian Mbappe. Scoring eight in his last 10 and already bagging 27 Ligue 1 goals this season, the French sensation also found the net against Nates in Les Parisiens’ 3-0 win a fortnight ago. Given their stellar record against the hosts, we’re backing PSG to come away with the victory and the Ligue 1 title on Wednesday.
