PSG accept Neymar will leave next summer

According to reports in France (as relayed by Sport), Paris Saint-Germain will not be offering a new contract to Neymar.

The Brazilian stalled on the negotiations over a new deal during the second half of last season, and followed that behaviour up with trying to force an exit in the summer. In the end, no deal was struck and he has been reintegrated into the squad at the Parc des Princes, but Sport believe his statement made back in September, the one where he admitted everybody knew about his wish to leave, meant his head was more out than in as far as his time with PSG is concerned.

And apparently, the Ligue 1 champions’ sporting director Leonardo has now decided to pull the plug on all offers of a new deal and accepted that Neymar, who is bound to the club until 2022, will leave next summer.

Countless reports have so far claimed that the 27-year-old star regretted his move from Barcelona to PSG in 2017 very much, and that he is now keen to return to Camp Nou. Real Madrid and Juventus have also been credited with interest.
