PSG and Istanbul Basaksehir players leave the pitch in protest as official allegedly uses racist language (Video)

The final-round Champions League clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Istanbul Basaksehir at the Parc des Princes on Tuesday was interrupted and subsequently abandoned after the fourth official, Sebastian Coltescu from Romania, used a racial slur to identify a member of staff of the Turkish team with whom he had had an exchange of words to the referee.

Former Cameroon international Pierre Webo, now an assistant coach at Istanbul Basaksehir, was shown a red card, but the language used by the official caused an angry reaction from everyone, including PSG stars Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Players of both teams eventually walked off the pitch in protest, and it has been agreed with UEFA that the game would recommence today (Wednesday) with another fourth official starting from the 14th minute with the scoreline 0-0, which is how the contest stood when the incident happened.
