According to a recent report from Sky Sports News, French champions Paris Saint-Germain are edging closer and closer towards securing a deal that would see them sign Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas. The deal would involve a few other factors, too, with Alphonse Areola being set to make the transition from PSG to Real Madrid in something of a swap deal.
Navas hasn’t been viewed as the main man in goal for Real for quite some time now, and this is a deal that makes a whole lot of sense for him. He quite clearly wants to secure some regular first team football as opposed to spending his time being sat on the bench, and there are very few fans and pundits who would blame him for that.
Navas has had some strong moments during his spell with Real and he’ll likely be remembered quite fondly by many, but he has to put himself first.
