Eurosport is reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of reaching an agreement to sign Juan Manuel Mata from Chelsea.
While it is no secret Juventus and Atletico Madrid are keen, latest reports suggest that the Saints have moved to pole position.
Italian journalist Tancredi Palmieri has revealed that the Spaniard has virtually agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 side, but the two clubs have yet to open talks over the transfer fee.
The problem is, however, that Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho does not seem prepared to cash in on his prized asset despite dropping him from the starting line-up.
Juan Mata has only made seven Premier League appearances this term, while featuring in 2 Champions League fixtures.
He is reportedly looking to leave the Blues in January in search of first team football, but much will depend on Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who is reluctant to part ways with the Spaniard for the time being.
