French Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are on the verge of signing Belgian international defender Thomas Meunier from Club Brugge, according to L’Equipe.
The Saints are in the market for a new right-back after Gregory van der Wiel decided to leave and they have made the Belgium full-back their number one priority.
L’Equipe claims that the two sides are close to reaching an agreement over the transfer fee, believed to be in the region of €7 million.
New PSG head coach Unai Emery believes the 24-year-old will be a very good addition to the squad, but Meunier is not the only player on his radar.
Namely, the former Sevilla boss is determined to be reunited with Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak, who has a €50 million release clause in his contract.
The problem is that the Saints are not prepared to offer more than €25 million, so everything suggests the Poland star will be staying at Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan this summer.
