Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their efforts to sign Montpellier midfielder Morgan Sanson, Le 10 Sport has learned.
Considering that Adrien Rabiot is linked with a summer exit and that Thiago Motta is not getting any younger, the Saints are in the market for central midfielders.
PSG have been keeping close tabs on Morgan Sanson for quite a while, but they appear to have recently stepped up their interest.
The Saints recently established a contact with their league rivals and they are expected to soon come forward with an official proposal.
PSG coach Laurent Blanc likes the fact that Sanson can operate successfully as a holding midfielder or attacking midfielder, and he is eager to lure the 21-year-old to Parc des Princes as early as this summer.
Due to a succession of injuries, the highly rated footballer has only made nine league appearances this season, but his brace in the 2-2 draw with Guingamp is enough to suggest he is slowly rediscovering his form.
