Paris Saint-Germain are stepping up their efforts to sign Santos midfielder Lucas Lima, according to Le 10 Sport.
The Saints have been hot on the trail of the Brazil international for quite some time and they recently sent scouts to watch the 25-year-old in action.
Several Brazilian newspapers reported that they had even reached an agreement to sign the talented footballer, but Le 10 Sport claims the deal has yet to be struck.
While establishing himself as one of the leading players in the domestic league, Lucas Lima also played his way into the first team plans of Brazil coach Carlos Dunga and featured in each of the four 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
At the same time, the Saints are considering a move for Marseille hotshot Lassana Diarra, with OM chiefs revealing they would not stand in the player’s way if he expressed a desire to leave.
With the Ligue 1 campaign already in the bag, PSG can be backed at 15/2 to lift the Champions League trophy.
