PSG cool transfer speculation

(GSM) – PSG boss Antoine Kombouare is confident Guillaume Hoarau and Stephane Sessegnon will stay at the club.

The capital club, who are looking to restore their status as one of the top sides of French football, are trying to undermine the transfer talks surrounding their key players.

Among those often reported to be heading towards the exit is Hoarau, with the highly-rated frontman said to be attracting interest from Germany.

Benin international Sessegnon is another to have been tipped for an exit, with a potential switch to the Premier League widely touted.

PSG are reluctant to part with either player, though, and Kombouare is hoping both can be persuaded to stay put.

“Guillaume has been attracted by an offer from Schalke 04,” he told L’Equipe.

“But, for me, he has to stay. Only if a club comes in with €20million (£16.7m) would we consider a sale.

“On Stephane, considering the season he had last year, I don’t think he will want to leave.

“Both players extended their contracts last summer and, considering how last season went, they owe something to the club.

“We will talk about this again in six months, or next summer.”
