According to El Mundo Deportivo, Paris Saint-Germain could be ready to shock the football world yet again by making a world-record bid for Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho. Despite taking some time to settle into life at the Nou Camp following his big move from Liverpool earlier this year, the Brazilian is starting to make a name for himself in Spain as one of the best players in La Liga.
Now, however, PSG are ready to break their own world record by bidding €270 million for the 26-year-old. While Barca likely wouldn’t entertain any kind of figure for him, there’s always a chance that Coutinho could decide to follow the money in the same way that his Brazil teammate Neymar did.
Barcelona are the reigning Champions of Spain, but they’ll be aiming to make a push for the Champions League title as they attempt to wrestle control of the competition back from rivals Real Madrid.
