Paris Saint-Germain are ‘desperate’ to sign Tafekusa Kubo from Real Madrid, according to AS.
The 19-year-old has spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Mallorca, making so far 28 appearances, during which he scored three goals and set up three more. He is set to return to Madrid when the loan expires this summer, and then a decision on his future will have to be made, if only another short-term one. There have been reports suggesting he could go on loan to Real Sociedad, where he would be replacing Martin Odegaard, should the Norwegian find a place in Zinedine Zidane’s plans at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, it seems PSG sporting director Leonardo is extremely keen to bring the Japanese winger to the French capital this summer. He will find this task difficult, if not impossible. Apparently, Kubo has already rejected an offer of €4 million per year to come to the Parc des Princes, while Real have no intention of selling him under any conditions. His buyout clause is set at €250m, which works heavily for the Spanish giants in this matter.
